Yoga in Basingstoke
I am looking at starting a class in the Autumn/Winter in the Hatch Warren area, subject to finding a space and finishing a refurbishment project I am working on. This may be on a Wednesday evening until I have managed to make a few changes to my practise space. I am currently taking names of people who are interested so drop me an email or give me a call.
The Serenity Centre
Many thanks to all those who came on Wednesday for my last class at The Serenity Centre. I was surprised and thankful for the party afterwards. Thank you All. Namaste.
The class at the Serenity Centre is passing to Mandy Sturgess who is looking at reviewing the time so pass your thoughts to Helen.
I will be organising a Yoga day at some time with many of the elements of yoga we rarely have time for. So a chance to deepen our practise and include:
- Chanting,
- Meditation & Relaxation,
- Posture work,
- Sound and
- Pranayama.
There will be time for a chat and catch up over tea.
As you can tell this is in it's early stage of planning so if you would like Kriyas, and philosophy let me know. It is a big topic that deserves consideration.
Yoga in Basingstoke
Until I have completed my current project I just will be teaching at the Beechdown and doing one to one's. If you belong to a group who need a teacher and have a space I may be able to help or recommend someone.
For some the thought of starting a new class contains too much fear and self doubt. If you would prefer a little encouragement why not have a one to one or bring a friend and start Yoga together. Summer is a great time to do this as classes are traditionally quiet as holidays and families provide those distractions.
Whilst the Wii may seem like a great way to practise Yoga I would encourage class attendance or regular One to One sessions to make sure that you are practising safely. You may also some some of the other aspects of Yoga more interesting!
Why not find a class, if you are a member of a gym or just want to try something new Yoga is a great way to gain flexibility and strength. It's not all about breathing and meditation (although for many relaxation or meditation is the best reward at the end of a class!).
